Jin Shin Jyutsu
is the Art of releasing tensions which are the cause for various symptoms
in the body .
Through Jin Shin Jyutsu our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that we are endowed with the ability to harmonize and balance ourselves (in rhythm with the universe) physically, mentally and emotionally.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art as opposed to a technique which is a mechanical application whereas an art is a skillful creation. This beautiful Art is our human inheritance.

The Art had fallen into relative obscurity when it was dramatically revived in the early 1900's
by Master Jiro Murai in Japan. After clearing himself of a life-threatening illness,
Master Murai devoted the rest of his life to the development of Jin Shin Jyutsu, passing it on to
Mary Burmeister who brought it to the United States in the 1950's.
Mary Burmeister began teaching the Art to others in early 1960's and today there are thousands
of students throughout the USA and around the world.
Jin Shin Jyutsu employs twenty six 'safety energy locks' along energy pathways that feed life into our bodies.
When one or more of these paths become blocked, the resulting stagnation can disrupt the local area and eventually disharmonize the complete path of the energy flow.
Holding these energy 'locks' along the pathways in combination can rebalance and harmonize mind,
body and spirit.
Jin Shin Jyutsu can be applied as Self Help and also by a trained practitioner.
A session generally lasts about an hour. It does not involve massage or manipulation.
The gentle art is practiced by placing the fingertips (over clothing) on designated
safety energy locks, to harmonize and restore the energy flow, sometimes called being
a 'jumper cable' to charge the inner batteries.
For those addressing existing stress or specific health 'projects', or for those simply wishing to participate actively in their own health, the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu
is a simple and powerful tool available to all.
"When I first heard of JSJ, I must admit I was a little skeptical. I am a massage therapist
and I always felt sore muscles needed to be worked out the hard way, through deep tissue
massage. After a few sessions of JSJ given my Helena, I'm pleasantly surprised and
pain free. I have only a little arthritis left in my neck and I feel great. I'm looking forward to more
sessions of JSJ. I highly recommend it."
